The Value of APIs

An API is an application programming interface, which means it lets two different pieces of code talk to each other. An API Specification is the contract for those programming interfaces. From the Microsoft 365 platform, there are supported APIs that are known and documented. There’s also First-Party APIs that exist for the platform to operate but the specification can change at any time and is not documented.

Prescriptive Guidance

Don’t assume that you can automate it just because you can do it through the UI.
